Crêpes are one of the most iconic dishes in French cuisine, first created in Brittany, a region in northwestern France. Traditionally served either sweet or savory, crêpes are known for their paper-thin texture, gentle softness, and warm, comforting filling.
Our version stays true to the classic thinness, with a natural twist:
We add almond yogurt to the batter, which gives it a soft, flexible texture and a delicate tanginess that balances perfectly with sweet fillings.
The star of this recipe is our very own Tamiz Cocoa Spread, crafted from almonds, macadamia nuts, natural coconut sugar, and pure vanilla.
No hydrogenated oils. No preservatives. No artificial anything.
Just simple, wholesome ingredients blended into a smooth, rich chocolate spread.
It’s a naturally sweet dessert and yes kids love it too.
Ingredients (makes 8–10 crêpes):
2 tbsp spelt flour
½ cup cornstarch
3 tbsp coconut sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 bottle of water (or almond milk)
2 tbsp olive oil
Optional: 2–3 tbsp Tamiz Almond Yogurt
Instructions:
In separate bowls, mix dry and wet ingredients. Combine and whisk until smooth.
Let the batter rest in the fridge for 10–15 minutes.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour about ⅓ cup batter and swirl to form a thin layer.
Cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook briefly on the other side.
Fill with Tamiz Cocoa Spread, add your favorite fruit, and serve.
Enjoy!
